Environmental Projects Delivered

Respecting Our Environment

Environmental requirements touch nearly every infrastructure project. How well they're navigated determines whether your project stays on schedule, stays in budget, and builds the kind of community and agency trust that carries into the next one.

Ardurra's experts in the natural, human, and physical environment partner with our engineers and engagement specialists to create sustainable approaches to complex project needs — combining local regulatory knowledge with national expertise across transportation, water, aviation, utilities, land development, and agriculture.

From the first site assessment to post-construction monitoring, Ardurra delivers solutions grounded in science and engineering. Innovative, streamlined approaches come from a genuine understanding of laws, regulations, and the flexibility that exists within processes when you know how to use it.

Our Approach

Ardurra treats environmental work as an integrated discipline, not a compliance checklist. Our multidisciplinary team of ecologists, scientists, archaeologists, planners, and engineers work alongside Ardurra's infrastructure practices from the earliest stages of project development. That integration matters because the best environmental outcomes come from avoiding impacts, not mitigating them after the fact.

We maintain active working relationships with the full spectrum of federal and state regulatory agencies: USDOT, FHWA, FAA, FTA, FRA, USACE, USFWS, USCG, FEMA, HUD, and others. Those relationships shape how we build permitting strategies, structure documents, and anticipate what agencies need before they ask for it. The result is faster approvals, fewer revision cycles, and projects that move forward with regulatory confidence.

We serve clients across transportation, water, aviation, municipal development, private development, utilities, and agriculture — bringing the same commitment to regulatory efficiency and resource protection regardless of project type or scale.

Other Ways We Make an Impact

Some of Ardurra's most valuable environmental capabilities don't fit neatly into a single category. These are the disciplines and credentials that support everything we do — and that often make the difference between a project that stalls and one that moves.

Agricultural & Water Use Permitting

Ardurra supports agricultural clients and water users through state and federal environmental permitting — including agricultural activity permitting, water use permits, and state lands restoration. It requires both regulatory fluency and a practical understanding of how agricultural and utility operations function on the ground, and it's a specialized area few environmental firms handle with the depth Ardurra brings.

Broad Agency Relationships

Ardurra maintains working relationships across the full spectrum of federal and state regulatory agencies such as USDOT, FHWA, FAA, FTA, FRA, USACE, USFWS, USCG, FEMA, HUD, NOAA Fisheries, and others. On the Seven Mile Bridge PD&E Study alone, Ardurra coordinated simultaneously with seven separate federal agencies. Those relationships shape how we structure permitting strategies, anticipate agency expectations, and keep projects moving through regulatory review.

Emergency Management & Expert Witness

Ardurra provides environmental support for emergency management situations where regulatory compliance must happen quickly under pressure, and expert witness services for legal and administrative proceedings that require environmental technical testimony. These are distinct capabilities that serve clients facing circumstances well outside the typical project delivery context.

Two Rivers Preserve

Ecosystem Restoration at Scale

Ardurra has delivered some of the most complex ecological restoration projects in the country — from the Alligator Creek wetland restoration in Florida to the Lake Hermitage 1,000-acre tidal marsh creation program in Louisiana, sponsored by US Fish and Wildlife as part of the Coastal Wetlands Planning, Protection and Restoration Act. These are large-scale ecological interventions that restore natural function, rebuild habitat, and deliver measurable environmental outcomes built to last.

Terra Ceia Restoration Aerial

Geospatial & Advanced Field Technology

Ardurra integrates UAV surveys, LiDAR aerial mapping, sub-meter GPS data collection, and GIS analysis into environmental workflows across every discipline we practice. These tools improve the accuracy of wetland delineations, habitat mapping, cultural resource surveys, and floodplain analysis — reducing field time, lowering costs, and producing regulatory-quality documentation that holds up under agency scrutiny.
